An evaluation of the USEFE Graduate Internship for Entrepreneurship Programme, the objective of which was to create a triple helix project by bringing together academic institutions, enterprise bodies (the Local Enterprise Office of Cavan, Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon) and 24 SME’s (6 per County) to facilitate the placement of a graduate/final year student in start-up companies, innovation oriented companies, and entrepreneurial social ventures in the region for a six-month placement period.

- Survey of businesses to establish the success and learning outcomes

- Interviews with 3rd level institutions regarding the future potential for the programme

- Preparation of recommendations and conclusions for the programme, focusing particularly on the potential for replication in the participating LEOs and on a wider scale throughout the country
