€500,000 secured for Belmullet, under Fáilte Ireland Destination Town status, on behalf of Mayo County Council, to be included in the developed and emerging destintation towns capital investment programme.

- Evidence to support the prioritisation by the local authority of Belmullet as a destination town, including masterplans, tourism strategies, regional/ county strategies, etc.
- Highlighting recent and planned investment in Belmullet
- Set out attractions/ activities/ amenities in the vicinity of Belmullet, capable of attracting people to stay overnight
- Research the range of food and drink offerings in Belmullet, including the evening time economy
- Identify the specific current visitor experience gap being addressed by the project, with reference to the ‘Development Guidelines for Tourism Destination Towns’
- Summary description of the project and how it addresses the visitor experience gap identified above
- Outline the positive impact the project will have on the visitor experience, local economy and community
- Impact analysis plan, including visitor tracking, footfall counters, surveys, visitor attraction numbers, etc.
