Financial Viability Study of the Coolaney National Mountain Bike (MTB) Centre, on behalf of Sligo County Council, identifying the potential local, regional, national, and international impact of developing a significant MTB centre in Coolaney, Co. Sligo. This included a review of similar projects operating in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the US.

- Extensive consultation with Fáilte Ireland, Sligo County Council and Coillte regarding the need and demand for a National Mountain Bike Centre in Coolaney, Co. Sligo
- Research into mountain biking, including markets, supports, finance and funding, on an international basis, including US, Canada, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales
- Review of the Centre in terms of its potential role within the national strategic plans for tourism, sport, recreation, leisure and health
- Identifying a corporate structure, suited to the ongoing development, management and planning for the Centre as a going concern
- Extensive analysis of the financial viability of the Centre, based upon potential number of users, and visitors, length of stay and average spend per day
- Preparation of an economic analysis of the project, including net expenditure, deadweight, leakage, displacement and regional tourism multipliers
- Preparation of an outline Marketing Plan, based upon similar structures in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Preparation of a Summary Plan, for distribution among key potential influencers and stakeholders, e.g. government departments and national organisations
