Project details
- Preparation of a Feasibility Study for the astro pitch, as well as support in the completion of funding applications.
- Detailed description of project, including background to the promoters
- Assessment of need for sporting facilities, having consideration for local, regional and national sporting strategies
- Review of potential demand for the facility, and its impact upon financial viability
- SWOT analysis of the proposed astro pitch, based upon location, need and demand
- Recommendations for management and governance structure to support sustainability of the project
- Definition of catchment area, within an appropriate driving time of the facility
- Socio economic analysis of the population within the catchment area
- Identifying the number of children and adults in the appropriate age categories for the use of the facility
- Review of existing facilities in the area, and neighbouring counties
- Analysis of the impact of the facility upon sporting activities within the local population
- Identifying clubs with potential need and demand for the use of the astro, e.g. soccer, GAA and other sporting organisations
- Consultation with 11 local schools regarding their potential use of the astro
- Establishing a scheduled use for the facility, including daily, weekly, monthly and ‘block bookings’
- Identifying potential sources of finance to meet the capital costs of the project
- Review of the financial viability of the astro, calculated in accordance with the anticipated catchment area, the size and range of the facilities and comparisons with similar facilities
- Preparation of income projections, including weekly income and costs, annual income and costs, and a 10-year projection of Profit and Loss and Cash Flows.
